Microsoft teams is the software to manage the assignments with students, and you can also make a video call to all the students through it. You can signup to the teams using your official GKV ID, which makes using Teams free.

In this, you can add the students via their email-id’s, one by one.
Google Classroom
Google Classroom allows to communicate with the students track assignments, quizzes, you can also post the material and share it with the students.
